There hasn’t been all that much going on around here lately so the blog has been a little sparse. We’ve canceled two trips to Amritsar, once because there wasn’t time to sort it out and the next time because I was ill (we are currently suspicious of the swimming pool water).
We had a couple of visitors last night here in our flat, our landlord to pick up some things and an American friend who lives here in our complex. It reminded me of how much I miss having friends over and entertaining. Making friends here has been a really tough nut to crack. We resolved to try to make something happen on this front again this week.
I suppose the most interesting event of the week was that Tracy bumped into a high school friend of hers while we were out this weekend. Maybe she’ll write something up about it here, so I won’t go into detail but it seems to me like a pretty amazing thing to have happen.
As the end of our time here starts to come into site, one thinks more and more about the next chapter. I’m not looking forward to the end of this adventure, but it’s hard to take my mind off whatever I imagine is over the next hill.
